Mr. Kogan of Advanced Surveying, LLC was one of if not the only land survey provider that was willing and able to accommodate my needs within a reasonable time and at a reasonable price relative to all the other local surveyors and surveying companies.
Mr. Kogan's work is of the utmost quality and was beyond sufficient for my land survey needs in regard to my efforts to secure a work permit with the local municipality to install an electricity generator.

When doing a refinancing of our home, we learned that flood insurance was required based on the Base Flood Elevation maps. I called Gregory to conduct a survey and provide an Elevation Certificate, because I believed that while some of the unimproved property may lie in the flood zone, our home does not. Gregory responded immediately, performed a thorough survey with measurements, photos, and explanations. He informed me how we could complete the submission to FEMA ourselves, but offered to do that for us (for an additional, reasonable fee) if we preferred. I took him up on that offer, wanting to enjoy the benefit of his experience presenting the “case” to FEMA. This week, we received the hoped-for good news, that our home has been removed from the required flood insurance category. Gregory is pleasant, professional, responsive, and enormously helpful in providing information, possibilities, and follow-through. I highly recommend him, and would gladly provide a reference.

Gregory is your entrusted defender and will ‘have your back’, as you travel the process with him in discovering where your property borders actually lie. I needed a proper land survey done on a particular electrical ‘easement’ on my property that abutted a neighbor’s. There had been significant large pine tree damage after this past winter that impacted three neighbors and none of us had a clear idea where our property lines were located. After contacting Gregory, who responded immediately in an extremely professional manner, we walked the property together and he explained in a detailed way what our goal should be, how long it would take and what documents were necessary to complete the ‘search’ with the City of Stamford. His estimate of the work entailed was very reasonable and I was relieved to share with him my concerns going forward. Every step of the way was explained to me and there were no surprises due to his thorough teaching. The work was completed in a timely fashion, one that I could afford and I learned a lot about surveying along the way. Gregory was very easy to work with and professional. He responded within hours to any inquiries and turned around the work very quickly. Most importantly he was very careful to be accurate, which was very important to us working on a small lot with strict boundaries. He knew all of the zoning regulations and the Westport zoning officer we met with was familiar with him and said he did "very good work". Zoning requested no changes to his survey. I would recommend his work without hesitation and use him again myself in the future. He makes the time to get your project completed and turns out a high quality survey at a very good price.

I was given Greg's name from a friend who had used Advanced Surveying and had spoken highly of Greg and his company. I used Advanced Surveying for a difficult elevation, wetlands and plot surveying project. Greg did a great job, he explained everything that I would need and why I needed it. Great job. We had a fence come down from the big Sandy storm, but being relatively new to our home, we didn't know exactly where the property line was to replace it properly. Gregory was able to help us out fairly quickly, getting appropriate areas properly staked out. He was also very knowledgeable about town procedures, zoning needs, etc. They were incredibly through in double-checking sub-division areas and locating pre-existing lines / markers we had no idea where there. Definitely recommend.

I found Greg on Angie's List and was extremely impressed with his work. He staked the property lines for our new house in Fairfield. He responded almost immediately to all emails and got the actual staking done in a day or two from when I contacted him. He explained each step in the process to me and his quote was exactly what he invoiced me for. We were afraid we'd have to get a full survey to find out our property lines (to build a fence), but Greg suggested staking the property - which let us know our boundaries but also saved us money. He was just a really professional guy and a pleasure to work with.

I had the opportunity to work with Gregory Kogen when he surveyed our new home. He could not have been more helpful guiding us through this process as we were first time homeowners. He answers emails immediately and was always available by phone. Gregory's quote was easily the best of three we received. He was able to accommodate us very quickly and was at the house in one/two days after we went with him and completed the project in 3/4 days with a very descriptive walk through of all the set backs, town codes,and variances we may need for additions. I would not hesitate using his services again.

We recently purchased a home in Weston Ct which Gregory of Advanced Surveying performed the survey. His attention to detail is exquisite, correspondences were always prompt, he took the time to explain topics in detail and the survey map was beautiful. We hired Gregory to stake out our property lines in preparation for some new landscaping plans and to clearly define our neighbor's encroaching driveway... We contacted several surveyors in the are and Gregory was the only one to respond in a timely manner and with a very fair quote. He was meticulous in his detail of mapping out the neighborhood markers to make sure to accurately locate our own property lines. The encroaching neighbor was very unhappy we were staking our lines and gave Gregory a very hard time while he was working on our property. Greg was extremely patient with the neighbor and took extra time explain the process to avoid more confrontation... We would not hesitate to hire him again or to recommend him to friends and neighbors. He went above and beyond our expectations.

We hired Advanced Surveying, LLC to perform a survey for our property in Stamford in the winter of 2010. A very professional service team was timely and informative, helping us determine where our property lines were, and even discovering facts we did not suspect were possible. As a result, we found that our neighbors fence was on our property, encroaching over 20 feet. The surveying team also helped us contact the town, advised us of wetlands on our property and recommended a soil scientist. A clear and easy to read, informative, detailed report was put together within days and we are confident in the accuracy of the data.
